Charlie has over 25 years of experience handling personal injury cases, and in that time, has secured over $65 million for injured persons throughout Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, MO and attended the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1988. He earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the School of Law at MU in 1991. His law practice has always been focused in the area of personal injury law, helping injured persons in Joplin, Columbia, and throughout Missouri secure their rights and gain just compensation.


While at the University of Florida, Charlie was an active member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and served in several leadership positions as a member of the fraternity. He also enjoyed participating in intramural sports and volunteering at Gainesville’s Ronald McDonald House. During law school at MU, Charlie continued his passion for intramural sports by creating the law school intramural team, The Big Subpoenas. He was also a member of the Board of Advocates, Phi Alpha Delta professional fraternity, and the Moot Court Team.

Charlie has served as a guest lecturer in the MU School of Law’s Advanced Torts class as well as in MU’s undergraduate honors program classes.


Charlie is the proud father of three MU students: his oldest daughter, Sarah, is a 2018 graduate of MU’s School of Law where she served as president of the Women’s Law Association; his oldest son, Chance, is a sophomore majoring in broadcast journalism; and his youngest daughter, Katie, is a freshman honor student majoring in strategic communications in the Journalism School and is also a member of MU’s distinguished Tour Team. His youngest child, William “Billy,” is a junior in high school.


Charlie is currently licensed as an attorney in the states of Missouri (since 1991) and Kansas (since 1992). He is a current member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Jasper County Bar Association, the Boone County Bar Association, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA).
